Dr. Ernesto H. Mendoza who has had a 45-year career as a seasoned executive has always inspired people around him to grow and make a difference. From the countryside to the boardroom, he carried that passion when dealing with union leaders during collective bargaining negotiations, indigenous people (IPs) group on their ancestral domain, foreign project technical staff on environmental assessment, up to top level corporate goal setting with major investors and board of directors.
Prior to being a consultant and advisor to various multinationals, he was Senior Vice President of a British conglomerate with business interests in the Philippines. His major scope of work covered Project Management, Strategic Human Resource, Risk and Crisis Management, Tenement and Environmental Permitting, among others. He was also responsible for some of the company’s most highly awarded Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in London, England and Singapore.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Commerce from St. Mary’s University, his Master in Management (MM) and Diploma in Industrial Relations (DipIR) from the University of the Philippines (UP) and a Journalism degree from Manuel L. Quezon University. As a writer, he won the Quill Award (magazine category) from the Philippine Council of Industrial Communicators (PCIC).
He completed a Certified Training Course on Sustainability Reporting and underwent training on the Labor Principles of the United Nations Global Compact. An ITIL-certified on IT service management, he just recently attended the Training on Environmental Management for Managing Heads conducted by EMB CALABARZON.
